What the Guesty connection actually does
Guesty serves a lot of short-term-rental and multi-channel operators, a segment that overlaps heavily with independent motels booking through Airbnb and Booking.com alongside direct reservations. Suzy's Guesty integration authenticates via OAuth2 and pulls upcoming reservations automatically, including which OTA channel each booking came from, so guest replies can reference the actual stay instead of only general property information.
Guesty's API caps how often a single integration can request new access tokens, so Suzy caches and reuses tokens across sync runs rather than requesting a fresh one every time, keeping the connection reliable without hitting that limit.
What syncs, and what doesn't
Syncs automatically
Scheduled syncGuest name, room/unit, check-in/check-out dates, reservation status, and booking source (Direct, Airbnb, Booking.com, Expedia, Other) flow from Guesty into Suzy's guest reservation record.
Comes from your FAQ setup
Manual, onceWiFi password, parking instructions, policies, and other property details aren't in Guesty. You enter these once in your Suzy dashboard, unrelated to the reservation sync.
Never written back automatically
One-waySuzy reads reservation data from Guesty; it doesn't create, modify, or cancel reservations inside Guesty on its own.
Honest status
Guesty is one of Suzy's live, built PMS integrations. Setting it up is optional. Suzy works fully without any PMS connected, you simply enter property details manually instead of syncing reservations.
